On the annual Disney Night, former Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross and his partner Lindsay Arnold performed a jive – set to a song from Cars 3.

After finishing last week near the middle of the pack, Chicago Cubs fan favorite David Ross fell victim to the technicalities and speed of a jive, which was not well-received by the judges.

Ross and his partner, Lindsay Arnold, posted the lowest scores of the night 7-7-8-7 for a total of 29 points. In the pre-dance video package, Ross kept tweaking different muscles during the routine. The jive is one of the most fast-paced dance types featured on Dancing with the Stars.

The routine, performed to ‘Ride’ from Pixar’s upcoming Cars 3, paled in comparison to some of the other performances, but the judges did have a good amount of good feedback for the couple.

Namely, all the judges talked about the energy and effort Ross brings on a weekly basis, which is something no one can dispute.

After his ‘Magic Mike’ routine and dance dedicated to the Cubs’ title, this one just didn’t seem to grab people the same way.

Still, Ross and Arnold avoided elimination. Erika Girardi, from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, drew the short straw. The former Cubs’ catcher is the oldest remaining performer on the season.
