Tennessee Smokies (AA) (55-41)

The Tennessee Smokies beat the Chattanooga Lookouts 9-2

This was a great game for Tennessee. The bats came to life despite missing Pete Crow-Armstrong in the lineup and we saw some serious impact out of a couple of our mid-season top-30 prospects list and one of the guys we said could help the bullpen immediately.

Owen Caissie (OF) went 3-for-4 with his 20th homer of the season and he added two singles, three RBI, and three runs scored to raise his average to .286 on the season. My guess is he won’t be far behind Pete Crow-Armstrong on the call-up list.

Pablo Aliendo (C) went 1-for-4 with a three run home run.

Andy Weber (2B) went 3-for-4 with three singles, an RBI and a run scored.

BJ Murray (3B) was a monster. He went 3-for-4 ending just a home run shy of the cycle and adding a walk and two runs scored.

Cole Roederer (OF) went 2-for-4 with two singles, two RBI and a run scored.

Walker Powell (RHP) threw five innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four.

Luke Little (LHP) was dominant as usual lately. The big lefty threw a perfect eighth inning as he struck out all three batters he faced.
