Beating the Reds
So how do the Chicago Cubs knock off a team that seems to be beating all the big names in the Division?
The first step in finally beating down the Reds is taking them seriously. How many times are the Cubs looking at the schedule and thinking the Reds are an easy win?

It wasn’t that many years ago that the Reds were laughing at the Cubs bad play. Since the 2016 Championship, the Cubs have gone from losing to beating to being wary of the Reds.
Why?
I’m not saying to go into this weekend like we can’t lose but what is wrong with facing the Reds this weekend like we “are” the first place team; consistency and confidence.
Let’s load the bases this weekend and clear the bases this weekend. Let’s put an un-Godly amount of runs up on the board, so there is no mistake in Cincy who is the top- dog in the NL Central Division. Let’s play tight defense with multiple double-plays and deny the Reds any opportunity. Let’s not lay down after winning one game and let them come back and beat us twice.
In other words, gents, let’s play Chicago Cubs baseball and sweep the Reds this weekend. This will be a clear sign to the Reds in later matchups during June, July and August; that we won’t be denied this season.
Why not?
