Watch Cody Bellinger hit his first home run of the Chicago Cubs season

After going. hitless in his first three games of his Chicago Cubs career over the weekend, center fielder Cody Bellinger quickly turned things around on Monday evening as he launched a 3-run home run in the first inning of the team's game against the Cincinnati Reds.

Looking beyond Bellinger's struggles during the series against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Cubs, as a team, struggled to make hard contact in their first three games of the season and failed to elevate the ball.
The Cubs' trip to Cincinnati could not have come at a perfect time for a team that is looking to ignite their offense. If the Cubs offense is going to be successful this season, they will need more innings like the one they had in the first against the Reds on Monday. Both Nico Hoerner and Dansby Swanson singled to start the game and that created the opportunity for Bellinger.
Cubs fans were quick to share their excitement over Bellinger's home run on Twitter.

I bet it feels a lot better to feel your hands hitting in Cincinnati than Chicago winter temperatures.
