Chicago Cubs: Kevin Made, SS, No.11 ranked prospect

Sliding in at number 11 on the top 30 list, Kevin Made is another prospect who has the making of a star on the biggest stage in baseball. Just 15 years old, Made has a lean frame, but do not let that fool you with the ability he has shown.

Hitting from the right side, Made carries an upright swing which he utilizes to generate his power and drives the ball with ease. His swing through the zone is smooth, and the ball jumps off his bat. The reports from scouts show his ability, and he could find himself in the middle of the lineup when he arrives in the Show.

In terms of his fielding ability, Made shows smooth footwork at the shortstop position. He has a strong arm and displays a smooth transition from glove to hand in his throws. His vision seems above-average, which will play well at the next levels.

Landing Made is a massive get for the Cubs. Outside of Javier Baez, there is a question mark for the team with the middle infield.

If Made can continue to progress, and there is no reason why that wouldn’t be the case, the future infield on the North Side of Chicago could end up as one of the most fun in all of baseball.
