Chicago Cubs: Putting it all together

According to reports, Cruz has an estimated time of arrival to the major leagues of 2022. Considering we are nearing the halfway point of the 2019 MLB season, that is only two and a half short years away.

Next. Only four Cubs deserve to go to the All-Star game. dark

Nobody knows what the future looks like for Cruz and if he will even be a part of the organization’s plans in a couple of seasons. Four of the five current starters are over 30 years old, which likely means a transition is on the way in some regard.

Cruz has a long way to go to reach the summit of professional baseball. However, he is well on his way to achieving his dream. The Cubs are right in how they are handling his progression through the system, and by limiting the amount of work, it will only help everyone in the long run. Despite not possessing a top of the line farm system, the future is still bright in the Windy City.
