Chicago Cubs: Believing in this team

Everyone should 100 percent believe in this Chicago Cubs team to replicate their success of recent years. There should be a full reason to believe that both Yu Darvish and Kris Bryant can stay healthy and productive all season. There should be a reason to think that Anthony Rizzo can start his campaign out solid, and continue it throughout the year.

That’s not even considering a bounce-back campaign from Willson Contreras behind the dish or 2018 NL MVP runner-up Javier Baez hopefully building on his breakout performance from last season. In short, despite their lack of offseason movement, the Cubs roster is still loaded with talent.

Understanding the projections gives a strong justification that many still believe in this team to be successful, and the best in the division. While the Cardinals should undoubtedly be better, and the Brewers do their best to replicate their success, the Cubs can get back to playing their best ball. In the words of Joe Maddon, ‘Try not to suck.’
