A month ago, FanSided announced that they were going to rank 250 fanbases and see who was the best. Ranging from music, acting, comedy and sports, the Chicago Cubs were one of the first nominees.
And it was an honor to voice my opinion on why the Chicago Cubs had the greatest fanbase in all of sports and entertainment. I mean, honestly, how could you not give us that label ahead of time?
Now, that may come off as a bit cocky but we have stuck by the Cubs’ side when they were down in the dirt. Filling up Wrigley Field with happy faces as our boys in Cubbie blue stormed onto the field.
It didn’t matter if rain was expected that day or the weather called for chilly temperatures — we show up. Setting attendance records year after year, representing a team that, until this year, struggled to win a World Series in 108-years, says something.

So, according to FanSided FanDom 250 final rankings, the Chicago Cubs emerged as No. 1 ahead of 249 others. Hats off to the rest of the group.
Rounding out the Top 10 of the bunch were Harry Potter/JK Rowling, LeBron James, Ohio State Buckeyes, The Walking Dead, Netflix, Dallas Cowboys, Game of Thrones, Beyonce, and Star Wars. Obviously, Star Wars came in second while Beyonce’s third place was a bit questionable.
Game of Thrones is one of the greatest television shows in the history of any original series. HBO definitely knows how to grab a viewers attention and keep it throughout an entire season.
Review
All in all, this contest was fun. At the end of the day, we’re all fans of multiple names, organizations or entertainers on that list. For instance, the Chicago Bears didn’t do so hot but I love that team with all my heart.
Same with the Los Angeles Lakers. Yes, I’m a Lakers fan who lives in the state of Illinois. That all started with Bruce Lee and Kareem. Surprisingly, the Cleveland Browns couldn’t make the Top 25.
In fact, they could have easily replaced Donald Trumps’ group who began the Top 20. Funny enough, his Trump’s were placed right next to The Obama’s.

Congratulations to the rest of those who were nominated. Hopefully, we’ll have something similar to FanDom 250 in the near future. What about the 250 greatest athletes to ever put on a uniform?
