In the world of sports betting, sometimes money isn’t the most important thing on the line. Often times it comes down to one’s pride.
On Friday, LeBron James made good on his bet with Chicago Cubs‘ fan Dwyane Wade. The bet? Chicago Bulls’ star Dwyane Wade bet that if the Cubs won the World Series, James would have to warm up in a Cubs uniform when the Cavs came to play Chicago. James could be seen at multiple World Series games wearing his hometown Cleveland Indians attire.
The Cubs pulled off what many deemed impossible, and it was finally time for King James to fulfill his promise to his former Miami Heat teammate.

Personally, I think he looks pretty sharp in Cubbie pinstripes. Maybe this could set a new fashion trend around the NBA? James was decked out with a Cubs home jersey, hat and baseball pants.
To add insult to injury, the Cavaliers lost to the Bulls 111-105. James scored 27 points, but it wasn’t enough to contain Wade and the Bulls.
It’s great to see bets like these in the professional sports world. Anything that involves a humiliation of some sort is perfect for the Twitterverse.

Props to LeBron James for keeping his word and paying up like a champ. I hear the Cubs are looking for a new center fielder. Maybe LeBron could wear that uniform full time?
