Reds pitcher Tony Cingrani hit the next batter (Miguel Montero) to put runners on first and second with no outs in the inning. In the next at-bat, Castro sent a fastball on the outside part of the plate sailing for the game-winning single.
According to the Chicago Cubs official twitter account, Saturday night marked the second occasion in which Castro has delivered a game-winning RBI. The first occasion occurred on April 18 against the San Diego Padres.
