Morning Marquee: Kolten Wong’s walk-off evens series for Cardinals

It appears that the Cardinals weren’t lacking power during the regular season, they were just saving it for when it really mattered. Kolten Wong hit a walk-off home run in the ninth, the fourth of the night for the Cards, as they evened up the series at one apiece.

The Cardinals got off to the early lead, but had to rally back late. Yadier Molina left the game with an oblique injury, and the Giants, down to their final strike, tied the game on a wild-pitch. It wouldn’t be the 2014 postseason without a dramatic finish. And Wong’s solo shot in the ninth secured that. The series is even at 1-1 as they head to San Francisco for game three.

The Chicago Cubs relaunched their Wrigley Field website, which now will include updates on the 100-year old ballparks renovation status.
