Chicago Cubs top prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong has become an elite prospect in all of Major League Baseball as he is among the Top 10 prospects in the game according to MLB Pipeline.

Crow-Armstrong is now on the cusp of reaching the Major League level as he was promoted to Triple-A Iowa earlier this week and on Friday, he recorded his first home at the Triple-A level.

The biggest question of Crow-Armstrong's game in terms of whether or not he would become a true blue-chip prospect was his offensive approach. Crow-Armstrong is already capable of playing Gold Glove-caliber defense at the Major League level and has the speed that will place him among the fastest players in the game.

After a shoulder injury during his first professional season, there were concerns that his offense may not translate to the Major League level.

Crow-Armstrong has squashed those concerns.

In his first season in the Cubs' organization, Crow-Armstrong slashed .312/.376/.520 across two levels of the organization with 46 extra-base hits.

Crow-Armstrong has been just as good this season as he enters play today with a slash line of .283/.367/.523 with 39 extra-base hits including 15 home runs.

The idea of Crow-Armstrong reaching the Major League level in September hasn't been ruled out but it would seem more likely that a 2024 arrival is in the cards for the Cubs' top prospect. It will be an arrival that will mirror the previous debuts of Cubs' top prospects such as Kris Bryant, Javier Baez, and Kyle Schwarber.
