Spring Training is well underway for the Chicago Cubs as the team began playing exhibition games this past weekend as they prepare for the start of the Major League Baseball regular season on March 30.

Looking beyond the work that is being done by Cubs players on the field as they prepare for Opening Day, there is work to be done off the field to make sure they are equipped for success during the season. Part of that process includes making sure they have the right equipment.

That should be why it is no surprise that several Cubs players took part in Wilson's Glove Day this week as they made selections on the baseball gloves that they will use when on the field this season.

The following Cubs' players have contracted with Wilson this season for their glove.

  • Kevin Alcantara, A2000 1810
  • Brad Boxberger, A2K B2
  • Brennen Davis, A2000 1799
  • Nico Hoerner, A2000 1786
  • Ryan Jensen, A2K B2
  • Zach McKinstry, A2000 PP05/A200 1799
  • Conner Menez, A2000 B2
  • Trey Mancini, A2000 F16HT
  • Dansby Swanson, A2000 1787
  • Jameson Taillon, A2K B2
  • Nelson Velazquez, A2K 1799
  • Patrick Wisdom, A2K DW5/A2000 1617

Looking at the Cubs players test out their new gloves should take anyone back to their younger years when they first stepped onto the field with their new glove in hand and ready to make a play.
