New Chicago Cubs DH/1st baseman Trey Mancini is on a tear in Spring Training, as he has already collected 11 hits in just 19 at-bats. He also flexed the power on Thursday against the Reds when he launched a deep home run to left field to put the Cubs on the board.

Mancini's dinger sparked a six-run inning and was one of three Cub home runs in the 6th. Patrick Wisdom and Christopher Morel also went yard as the Cubs came back from a 5-run deficit to secure their 9th straight victory of the Spring.
Mancini was brought aboard this offseason on a two-year deal, and the Cubs are hoping his bat will provide some much-needed power to the lineup. The 30-year-old righty has 125 career home runs in his 6-season career, culminating with a 35-homer campaign in 2019 with the Baltimore Orioles. In addition to his bat, Mancini can play multiple positions: first base, right field, left field, and DH. His versatility will be a major component of this team, especially with Seiya Suzuki going down with an oblique strain.
