Chicago Cubs top prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong has heard the talk that the team does not have a true blue-chip prospect and he is on a mission to prove that sentiment wrong.

Crow-Armstrong has begun the 2023 season with Double-A Tennessee and he hasn't missed a beat after his breakout season in 2022. Through his first 43 plate appearances with the Tennessee Smokies this season, Crow-Armstrong is slashing .350/.395/.575 while posting a 163 wRC+ and .437 wOBA.

Crow-Armstrong added another early season highlight to his profile on Wednesday.

Crow-Armstrong has already earned the highest defensive grades from Major League Baseball scouts and the biggest question moving forward will be his offensive profile. With at-bats like the one that Crow-Armstrong had on Wednesday, he is proving that his offensive game will be just as good.

There had been a belief that Crow-Armstrong could emerge as a Top-10 prospect in all of Major League Baseball by July but with at-bats like the one he had on Wednesday, it may be sooner than that.
