Probable Starting Pitchers

After the Chicago Cubs dropped three of four to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cubs starting pitcher Justin Steele will be tasked with being the stopper as he takes the mound against the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night. Steele has been excellent this season as he has posted a 1.25 ERA through his first four starts.

Making the start for the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night against the Cubs is veteran Blake Snell. The Cubs had loosely been connected to Snell in recent seasons as the two teams talked scenarios in the past where the North Siders would essentially buy a prospect from the Padres through the way of taking on a lofty veteran contract. Snell has struggled this season as he has a 6.00 ERA through his first four starts.
