Probable Starting Pitchers

Veteran starting pitcher Drew Smyly will be on the mound for the Chicago Cubs on Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field as the team faces the Miami Marlins in game two of their weekend series. The Cubs were 4-1 victors over the Marlins on Friday afternoon and Smyly will look to continue the success that he had during the first month of the season. Through his first six starts this season, Smyly has posted a 2.83 ERA.

It will be a bullpen day for the Marlins on Saturday as scheduled starting pitcher Bryan Hoeing has been scratched from the game. Matt Barnes will be the first pitcher to take the mound for the Marlins on Saturday with Chi Chi Gonzalez also expected to work several innings. Barnes has a 3.86 ERA through 14 appearances in relief this season.
