Spring Training is a little under a month away for the Chicago Cubs but players have begun to report to camp early as they have been spotted working out at the team's facility in Arizona. Among the players to be spotted was outfielder Cody Bellinger.

It is encouraging to see Bellinger in camp already as he prepares for what will be an important season ahead for his career. For the first time in his career, Bellinger is playing with a team other than the Los Angeles Dodgers and he comes to the Cubs with the goal of finding an offensive resurgence.

In addition to Bellinger, Nick Madrigal was also spotted at the team's facility and confirmed the previous reports this month that he is working at third base.

Spring Training will likely be the first test to determine whether or not Madrigal can play third base in any regular capacity. If Madrigal proves to have the arm strength to be a competent fielder at third base, that could be how the Cubs work him into the starting lineup as the team remains high on his hit tool.

Also spotted on Monday was Codi Heuer throwing his first bullpen session since having Tommy John Surgery last season.

Heuer remains an important piece to the Cubs' bullpen for the long term. Since being acquired from the Chicago White Sox, Heuer has been pegged as the future closer in the Cubs' bullpen. The expectation is that Heuer will be ready around June.

Chicago Cubs sign Jordan Holloway to a minor-league deal

The Chicago Cubs have added right-handed pitcher Jordan Holloway on a minor-league deal according to MLB Trade Rumors. Holloway spent the first three seasons of his career with the Miami Marlins organization. In that time, Holloway has made 15 appearances at the Major League level and posted a 3.92 ERA.
