South Bend Cubs beat the Dayton Dragons 3-2

This one didn’t feature much offense from South Bend but they had enough to get the job done. There were a couple of the usual suspects that had multi-hit games and a solid pitching performance from the starter which is always a good recipe for success.

James Triantos (2B) went 2-3 with two singles, a walk, and a run scored. His batting average now sits at .375 and the Cubs have to be wondering if a move to Tennessee to challenge him may be necessary.

Bryce Ball (1B) went 2-4 with two singles.

Ezequiel Pagan (OF) went 1-4 with his second home run of the season and is hitting even better than Triantos so far this year with a .397 batting average.

Richard Gallardo (RHP) was awesome. He had a quality start going six innings and only allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out five.
