South Bend Cubs (A+) (44-53)

The South Bend Cubs lost to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 4-2

South Bend fell back into their old ways of being unable to string together meaningful hits and turn it into offensive production. They only had one extra-base hit in the game and only had four hits period. Until the offense wakes up it’s going to be hard for the Cubs to get back to winning baseball.

James Triantos (2B) went 2-for-4 with two singles and a run scored. Yesterday’s game brought him to a .300 batting average on the season.

Felix Stevens (OF) went 1-for-3 with a double a walk and an RBI.

Adam Laskey (LHP) threw two scoreless innings and only allowed one hit and no walks while striking out three.

Yovanny Cruz (RHP) threw 1.2 perfect innings to keep his ERA at 0.00 with one strikeout.

Frankie Scalzo Jr. (RHP) threw 1.1 innings and only gave up one run (no earned) on two hits while striking out none and walking none.
