8 Cubs that could be available at the deadline if they fall out of contention - #2: Cody Bellinger
Cody Bellinger was looking like his old self before he injured his knee while making a leaping grab and colliding with the outfield wall against the Astros in mid-May. Now, he's nearing a return to action, but it sounds like he's still not quite 100 percent and will get more looks at first base, as well as center field.
The defensive versatility will only boost his trade value - but just what the Cubs will be able to get for him should they sell is completely contingent on him proving he's healthy and capable of impacting the game with his bat.
No one is asking him to replicate his Rookie of the Year or MVP campaigns from 2017 and 2019, but if he can just do what he did prior to hitting the IL (.830 OPS/123 OPS+), teams (like the Astros) are going to be lining up for his services.
