3 players the Chicago Cubs need to get rid of before the All-Star Break - Michael Fulmer
The Michael Fulmer experiment has been a disaster for the Cubs. Fulmer entered the season as the Cubs' de facto closer but has since been relegated to non-high-leverage situations. In 25 appearances with the Cubs this season, Fulmer has posted a 7.36 ERA. Fulmer did not show any improvement during the month of May as he finished with an ERA of 8.38 during the month.
As crazy as it may be to suggest, there should be confidence in the Cubs' ability to correct their bullpen woes. The team has multiple power-arms at Triple-A Iowa that figure to be in play for the second half of the season and Codi Heuer is expected back soon. It would seem that Fulmer may be the first option to go in order to make room in the bullpen.
