Pete Crow-Armstrong let some shots fly across the bow of Dodgers' faithful earlier this year and, this weekend with the Chicago Cubs at Dodger Stadium, the All-Star outfielder didn't budge an inch on his take, only adding fuel to the fire in the process.
Unfortunately, Los Angeles took two of three in the weekend tilt, ending the Cubs' winning streak at 10 games - their longest since 2016. PCA struck out in more than 40 percent of his plate appearances in the three-game series, but did play a key role in the team's come-from-behind win Friday.
A four-strikeout showing on Saturday was the low point for the 24-year-old, but there's still plenty of baseball left in the season, the Cubs are on solid ground thanks to their recent hot streak and there's reason to believe in his long-term impact on this team.
But as Dodgers fans continue to trash-talk Crow-Armstrong and Cubs fans continue to defend their Gold Glover, the latter believe that LA catcher Dalton Rushing just gift-wrapped them a way to fight back.
Dodgers fans worried about PCA yet Dalton Rushing is the biggest clown in MLB. Here he is calling Miguel Amaya a “fat f*ck” after he gets stolen on. Watch Nico afterwards pic.twitter.com/Iniojk3Hv7

Dalton Rushing goes viral for reportedly making NSFW comment about Miguel Amaya
During Sunday's finale, Rushing threw out Miguel Amaya at second - and, based on some amateur lip-reading, fans believe he made a comment about the Cubs catcher's weight (which they then believe drew a glare from Nico Hoerner, who was at the plate during the play).
I'll let you decide for yourself what Rushing said or didn't say. But I will say this.
Dodgers fans are literally at the top of the baseball world. Their team has established itself as a free-spending model organization, capable of out-spending and out-developing pretty much the entire league on a yearly basis. They very much have a chip on their shoulder and it's not endearing them to the other 29 fanbases.
Rushing's reported comments about Amaya certainly won't help matters - and Cubs fans aren't going to forget them anytime soon.
