The Chicago Cubs are so back.
I've been saying that since the season started, driving my wife closer and closer to the brink of insanity with each passing month. But here we are. A 92-win team set to host playoff baseball at the Federal Landmark at full capacity for the first time since 2018.
And now, we have an Anthony Rizzo postseason hype video to get us ready for Tuesday's highly anticipated Game 1 showdown against the San Diego Padres.
October is why.

Anthony Rizzo has Cubs fans ready to run through a brick wall
Hot on the heels of his emotional retirement ceremony earlier this month, Rizzo is back as the voice of this Cubs' hype video that has the fanbase fired up and ready for playoff baseball at Wrigley.

The face of the franchise not only during the Cubs' 2016 World Series run, but for a decade that included three consecutive NLCS appearances, multiple NL Central titles and so much more, Rizzo connects to the fanbase unlike any player in recent memory - and has gained a standing comparable to franchise greats like Fergie Jenkins, Andre Dawson, Sammy Sosa and the recently departed Ryne Sandberg.
Having him back in the fold just feels right. His return to Wrigley, complete with an afternoon spent in the bleachers, showed just how much he embodies what it means to be a Cub - and having him narrate the team's postseason hype video just goes to show: the Captain is very much back.
The only way it gets better than this? Rizzo coming out to 40,000+ to throw out a ceremonial first pitch in October. If you thought the fanbase was in peak form for his retirement ceremony, think again. The playoff emotions + the most beloved Cubs player of the century could shake the Friendly Confines to their very foundation.
