The Cubs sent three players to the 2025 MLB All-Star Game this year — Matthew Boyd, Pete Crow-Armstrong, and Kyle Tucker.
Ignoring their litany of snubs, that's an impressive trio of stars that have led the team's rotation and anchored the lineup throughout the first half of the season.
With the outfielders both starting in the National League's lineup — a rarity among teammates — they were able to produce highlights (and terrifying quotes) early and often. Here's how the Cubs' three All-Stars fared at the 2025 Midsummer Classic in Atlanta.
How all 3 Cubs All-Stars performed at Midsummer Classic
Matthew Boyd
Unfortunately, Boyd opted out of pitching in the game following a masterful start against the New York Yankees on July 12 just prior to the All-Star break. In that game, he went eight shutout innings while tossing just 85 pitches, propelling the Cubs to a much-needed win over the reigning AL pennant winners.
This was his first All-Star Game nod, and though it's unfortunate he wasn't able to pitch, it's still great that the league celebrated his brilliant first half by selecting him to be a part of the senior circuit's roster.
Pete Crow-Armstrong
As you might expect, Crow-Armstrong had an eventful game. In his first ever at-bat in the All-Star Game, he notched a double off of southpaw Carlos Rodon, who just pitched eight shutout innings of his own against the Cubs in the game prior to Boyd's gem.

PCA was also mic'd up in the third inning in the field, playing center while Kyle Tucker manned left field beside him (Gold Glover Fernando Tatis Jr. was the NL starter in right field).
When asked where his favorite place to center field is, Crow-Armstrong said Los Angeles, citing his love for Dodger Stadium. Let the panic and speculation commence.

Of course, he grew up in Sherman Oaks, CA and went to high school in Los Angeles. He's a native of the area who grew up going to Dodgers games, so it's not exactly surprising that he chose them as his favorite place to play. Still, given the Dodgers' penchant for actually giving money to superstar players, it's hard not to read (way) between the lines on that comment.
Kyle Tucker
Tucker began his day with a slick sliding grab in left field, saving mic'd up legend Clayton Kershaw some embarrassment on the mound.

In his first at-bat against Rodon, Tucker hit a hard groundout to second base. In his second at-bat against Joe Ryan, he was called out on strikes.
Though it wasn't his best performance, as a four-time consecutive All-Star, Tucker will have plenty of chances at redemption in future editions of the Midsummer Classic. Hopefully, he'll still be in a Cubs uniform.
