As they do before every season, MLB Network has released its 'Top 100 Players Right Now' across social media and gives baseball fans something to talk and argue over during Spring Training.

The Cubs ended up with six of their players on the list, ranging all the way from 93 all the way inside the top 15. The top 15 player should come as no surprise, as he is highly regarded as one of the best right fielders in the MLB. It is none other than the recently acquired Kyle Tucker.

Kyle Tucker gives the Chicago Cubs some much-needed star power.

Since the trade deadline in 2021 when the Cubs traded the core away, they have been in need of a superstar player and that is exactly what they have with Tucker.

Despite appearing in just 78 games last season, Tucker jumped up nine spots from his ranking before the 2024 season. It was well deserved as he was magnificent in limited action, hitting .289 with 13 doubles and 23 home runs in those 78 games. With 112 home runs over his last three and a half seasons, Tucker will be a much-needed power bat in the Cubs lineup.

Tucker is the highest-ranked Cubs player since Javier Baez was ranked No. 23 prior to the 2020 MLB season and will be the third-ranked right fielder behind Aaron Judge and Juan Soto.

Along with Tucker, the Cubs had five other players on the list, a healthy amount for a team looking to win the division for the first time since 2020.

With six Top 100 players and a couple of guys that were probably near the list, there is no reason the Cubs should not outclass the rest of their division and make it back to the postseason for the first time since 2020.
