2025 Chicago Cubs Spring Training hats have been released, and they look awesome

You know we are getting close to baseball season when MLB releases its collection of Spring Training hats for all 30 teams, which is what they did earlier this week, revealing the hats for all teams.

Some hit the mark and some really missed the mark. Let's dive into them a little bit more.

Some of these hats are very similar to last year's, like the Diamondbacks for example. The only difference is that last year's had a '24 marking on the side, while this year's hat has "AZ" since the Diamondbacks are in the Cactus League and play their Spring Training games in Arizona.

Instead of diving into every single one, here are the three best hats and the three worst hats, starting with the best.

1. New York Mets: One of the coolest Spring Training hats in a long time features Mr. Met front and center, and it will be seen around Citi Field quite often during the season.

2. Chicago Cubs: Sure, there's a little bias here, but how could you not love the smooth powder blue majority of the hat with a little bit of Cubbie blue found on the bill? It is also very similar to last year's hat but it is still one of the best-looking ones.

3. Pittsburgh Pirates: For whatever reason, the Pirates hat was not on MLB's official picture of all hats, so we'll let you take a look at it for yourself.

Now, for the teams that put no effort into the Spring Training hats and will wear what looks like something they'd wear in Game 83 of the regular season.

1. Los Angeles Angels: The Angels did nothing special to their hats, and they look like hats they will wear for over half of their season. Wasting an opportunity for a cool/vibey hat is on par with a franchise that wasted 5+ years of Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani on the same team.

2. Colorado Rockies: Like the Angels, the Rockies did nothing special or exciting with their hats. It is a bland purple with the "CR" logo on the front. A very boring hat for a very boring franchise.

3. New York Yankees: The Yankees somehow wound up with two hats on the list and both are atrocious. The pinstriped hat sticks out much worse and looks like something that New York may have done 100 years ago. George Steinbrenner would roll over in his grave if he saw his beloved Yankees wearing something so awful.

It won't be long before we see these hats being worn in games and we will truly be back to baseball season and starting the journey towards October.
