Chicago Cubs fans need this ‘Lester Bought Me A Beer’ t-shirt
Chicago Cubs fans want to thank Jon Lester for everything. The World Series title, the strikeouts, the wins… oh, and the $47K worth of beer! Thanks, Jon!
Jon Lester is currently a free agent. It’s unclear if he’ll be returning to the Chicago Cubs, but if he’s pitched in his final game for the Cubbies, he went out on a high note.
Over Halloween weekend the veteran lefty bought fans more than $31,000 worth of Miller Lite, then added a 34% tip, bringing the weekend’s grand total to a whopping $47,094.90.
Lester spent six seasons with Chicago, winning 77 games and posting an ERA of 3.64. He threw 35.2 innings in the 2016 postseason, winning three games en route to a World Series Championship.
