Chicago Cubs: Some international outfield help

As has been reported from Badler, the majority of the teams international pool will be divided between Hernandez and Ballesteros. Still, however, the Cubs do have more options to divvy up the remainder of the funds.

The additional name who should be talked about is outfielder Daniel Ferreira, also from the Dominican. Ferreira has a smaller frame but carries a compact swing with a good amount of power compared to his size. His pop allows the ability to drive the ball to all parts of the field.

Next. Pressure is on Cubs' Lester when the season starts. dark

One of the craziest things about Ferreira is his age. He is just 14 years old. Maturing as quickly as Ferreira is, it would give the team ample opportunity to let him develop at a more than reasonable pace. He is exciting and a prospect to keep an eye on as we move closer to the signing period for teams.
