Chicago Cubs: Making it to the Show
With just three seasons under his belt, Miller is still exceptionally young which means there is time before he works his way to the biggest stage in baseball. That said, he seems to be well on his way, and hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later.
Miller probably does not possess the skills to be a team ace or find himself at the top of the rotation. However, there is the change Miller could be an excellent fourth or fifth starter down the line as well as a long reliever in the bullpen. Directing his path to the bullpen instead of the starting rotation may give more semblance to Miller and where his career could transpire at the next level.
One good thing about the future is that it has not arrived, which leaves a world of possibility for both Miller and the franchise. There are many talented prospects in the system right now, however, and so fans should not expect to see Miller in the major leagues for another couple years. He could earn the call next season based on how things shake out. That being said, it is time to enjoy what he is bringing to the team day in and day out.
