Chicago Cubs: Will this be the final season for the fan-favorite Zobrist?

This is more of a sentimental storyline. Ben Zobrist‘s contract is up after this season, and there is a feeling that this could be the final campaign for the 37-year-old.

Zobrist won back-to-back titles as a member of the Kansas City Royals in 2015 and the Chicago Cubs in 2016, earning the World Series MVP with the North Siders. He was also one of the only players who produced all season long in 2018, rebounding from arguably the worst season of his career in 2017.

It would not be a stretch that Zobrist has already established himself as a legend in the annals of Cubs history considering his contributions to the franchise and his unforgettable go-ahead double in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series.

If this really is the final ride, Zobrist would love to go out with another championship.
