A healthy Yu Darvish has been making the headlines for the Chicago Cubs this spring. When the new network starts, how much will it cost to watch the Cubs in 2020?
This season has been polar opposites of last year, at least so far. The Chicago Cubs‘ Yu Darvish has looked good, says he feels good, and in general seems to be a different player than he was last season. There’s nothing we can do about last year’s debacle. So let’s look forward to this season and hope he can provide for the Cubs what the signed him for. A top-tier rotation guy they can count on.
Many are wondering what it’s going to cost to watch the Cubs in 2020 when the new television network starts up. So far, it’s a mystery to all. The Cubs are a ‘national’ team, for better or worse. The market will be expecting many to jump on with the new network, but it’s a tough tell how many fans will actually want to pony up the money for the subscription. There will be plenty of back and forth before the opener of the season in 2020. Maybe we’ll have an answer by then.
Some places like to make projections using mathematical algorithms, career numbers and more–and then say the Cubs will win 79 games and finish last in the Central. Looking at you, PECOTA. That’s not what we’re doing here. Go big or go home. So we have five bold predictions for the 2019 season. Will these all come true? Highly unlikely. Will at least one of them? There’s a good chance on that.
