The Chicago Cubs arguably play in the toughest division in baseball in terms of competition. Are the Cardinals or the Brewers the bigger threat to the Cubs?

The National League Central is shaping up to be an epic battle in 2019. While many argue this is the still the Chicago Cubs division to lose despite the Milwaukee Brewers overcoming them in game 163 last year, it is a very open race.

While the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates look like they can at least compete this coming year, the Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals are still the perceived biggest threats in 2019. Each of them has at least added a significant piece and have finished above .500 the past several years. Who knows the three teams could come down to the final day of the regular season battling for the division crown.
