Chicago Cubs: Probably the most important arm to have healthy, Darvish aims to bounce back.

There is no doubt that one of the biggest concerns among Cubs fans right now is the future of Yu Darvish. After only pitching in 40 innings last year and making just eight starts, the hard-throwing righty has worked incredibly hard to rehab his arm. He has documented his process on social media.

WGN-TV’s Steve Scheuer posted an interview with Darvish Sunday (speaking English on TV for the first time) after throwing 45 pitches off a mound. He expresses his desire to contribute to the team and that he looks and feels good.

Regardless of spring stats, people will mainly be watching his delivery, pitch velocity, command and of course listen to when he talks to the media after performances. The main thing is that he is feeling good and looks normal throwing all of his pitches. In terms of velocity, he will hopefully be throwing 93-95 consistently. In the end, a healthy Darvish is essential in 2019.
