Mysticism of Wrigley

Wrigley Field is a magical place. It is better than that. It is awe-inspiring. The history of the sanctuary itself runs deep in the ivy. It is one of a kind place for fans to gain the whole experience. While other stadiums have their structural nuances, nothing beats the ivy-covered brick and ‘the basket.’

It will always remain a part of Wrigley’s architecture. How can it not? Surviving since 1970, it is a staple of the grand structure. And unlike something such as the “Green Monster” in Fenway, it is truly its own, making it unique in that regard.

As the 2019 Major League Baseball season gets underway in the next few months, Cubs fans can only hope that more magic and experiences, and walk-off home runs, are on tap and we can only hope the basket continues to favor the Wrigleyville faithful.
