The Chicago Cubs’ Kris Bryant hit his 100th home run, just three years after his first to lead the Cubs to a 13-4 win over the Marlins.

It’s always good to do things in threes. Such as the Chicago CubsKris Bryant hitting his 100th home run as they dominated the Miami Marlins 13-4 in a blowout. Anthony Rizzo hit his fifth of the season, while Addison Russell hit his first as the floodgates opened. The Cubs hit their fair share of extra-base hits, including two triples from Willson Contreras. The Cubs will be off today and take on the White Sox Friday afternoon.

Tommy La Stella has turned out to be a good player for the Cubs. A few years ago, he was going to retire if he wasn’t able to keep playing for the Cubs. At the time, I thought he was being difficult. But he was trying to do what’s best for the Cubs–and that’s pinch-hitting. La Stella got a few shots here and there, but his biggest goal is in the pinch. It’s what he does best.

The Manny Machado debate has come up again, and I don’t feel it going to go anywhere. So we might as well talk about it. The question? Who would the Cubs send over in a trade? Maybe Russell, Albert Almora or Mike Montgomery? All of these players have been talked about in the said trade. So the only question is will they pull the trigger, or will they continue to toe the line?
