After being swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates at Wrigley Field, the Chicago Cubs exacted some revenge. The Cubs dropped 14 runs on the Pirates in a blowout win; while David Ross was doing what he does these days. Dancing.
The Chicago Cubs wasted no time in taking it to the Pittsburgh Pirates on a rainy night at PNC. A two-out walk in the first inning would eventually lead to a three-run home run from Jason Heyward, and the rout was on from there. Cubs’ shortstop Addison Russell collected four hits while Ben Zobrist drove in three runs as the Cubs took it to the Pirates in a 14-3 win. Brett Anderson picked up the win to move to 2-0 on the season.
David Ross continues to hang in there on DWTS, and apparently, he’s learned that taking his shirt off doesn’t hurt him any. In a ‘boys vs. girls’ showdown, Ross once again shed his shirt for a sexy number along with several other competitors. The guys learned they would all be returning next week, so Ross was able to have some fun with the performance.
Jason Heyward is the hottest hitter on this Cubs team, and among the best in the early going in baseball. But after a tough season that saw many fans lose faith, his speech may have helped save the day for the Cubs. Would you consider it a ‘franchise moment’? We looked at just that with Heyward’s smoking start to this season.
