The Chicago Cubs aren’t happy about being .500, but they aren’t panicking either. But some fans–yes, we’ve seen the comments–are freaking out. Woosah, Cubs Nation. Things are going to be alright.

If you look at the start the Chicago Cubs had last season, and then compare it to this season? I could see where it could be concerning. But the Cubs players and coaches know that last year was an anomaly. 25-6? That was an ideal start to an unreal season. But the Cubs know that how you start isn’t always representative of how you finish. There’s a full calendar of baseball yet to play.

The Cubs have shown a propensity to strike out this season. But they have also found a way to walk and keep their OBP high. But the swing-and-misses have had their effect on the offense, and the Cubs need to find a way to reel some of that aggressiveness in. The season isn’t a wash without Dexter Fowler at the top; it’s just going to take some getting used to.

Hopefully, all of our readers had a fun day–minus the loss–with their families for Easter. If you were wondering what the Easter Bunny was up to during the day? Oh, he was just hanging out, catching a ballgame at Nationals Park–and tackling Teddy Roosevelt. If you don’t believe me, check it out for yourself.
