The Chicago Cubs will have new flagpoles to showcase their new World Series title. And the hype around Bryce Harper needs to cool down, Kris Bryant is where it’s at.
The Chicago Cubs will hope to “Fly the W” often this year, and they’ll do it between some new flags in the outfield. As the crews finish up preparations for the start of the season, new flagpoles have been erected to hold the National League and World Champion flags. The Cubs will host their home opener on April 10.
There’s been a lot of hype surrounding Bryce Harper since he came into the league. And not that he doesn’t deserve it. But Ken Rosenthal thinks he will rebound to win the MVP in the National League this season. But I’m pretty sure that Kris Bryant will have something to say about that before the year is over.
This may be one of the best problems for a manager to have. Picking between the World Series MVP Ben Zobrist, or the up-and-coming talent of Javier Baez. With different skill sets at different points in their careers, it’s a problem that Joe Maddon will happily struggle with each day.
