The Chicago Cubs have their fair share of talent in the WBC. But what you might not realize is the ex-Cubs too that are in it. Plus, Brian Duensing is nursing a stiff back. If it lingers for more than a few days, who could step up and replace him?

The Chicago CubsJavier Baez had a breakout in the NLCS last season. He’s continued that in this year’s World Baseball Classic. But there are a few Cubs–past and present–participating in this year’s WBC. And a few of them that it feels like it’s been forever since they played in Chicago.

Cubs’ reliever Brian Duensing left Thursday’s game with lower-back stiffness. The hope is he can return soon, but what if he can’t? He’s one of the southpaws the Cubs were counting on to fill the void left by Travis Wood. If he’s out for any period of time, who are the pitchers who could fill in if needed?

Anthony Rizzo cracked a press box window at HoHoKam Park, and it quickly went viral. The Cubs and A’s Twitter accounts immediately got in on the action. It was all in good fun between the two teams. But seriously, will Rizzo have to foot the bill for this one?
