Chicago Cubs third baseman and reigning NL MVP was pranked by a familiar face–although he didn’t know it–in Greg Maddux. After pulling a stunt like this last year, the tables were turned on Bryant this year.

You’re Chicago Cubs third baseman, Kris Bryant, simply minding your business and shooting a commercial for Red Bull. Next thing you know, the BP pitcher has to leave unexpectedly and the sound guy volunteers to through some to you. That sound guy had a heck of a curveball because it was former Cubs pitcher and Hall of Famer Greg Maddux. Be sure to check out the video!

Cubs’ pitcher Jake Arrieta will be a free-agent at the end of this year. Well, maybe he will. Arrieta still has hope that he and the Cubs can work out an extension to keep him in Chicago. But first things first, Arrieta is here to help the Cubs win again. The two sides will continue to discuss options, but winning is priority No. 1 for Arrieta.

For once, when Cubs’ fans hear the phrase “wait until next year”, it’s not going to be a bad thing. The Cubs ended a 108-year old drought and have taken the saying that once meant the end of their year and made it something positive. Maddon came up with the “Cub way”. Well, the Cubs’ fans have waited until this year–and they’re ready for another winner.
