Chicago Cubs: The importance of catcher David Ross

Ross’ ability to mentor the young players, help the pitchers with his game calling and pitch framing and contribute defensively will make him a valuable commodity for the rest of the season. If the Chicago Cubs continue to exceed expectations, they will look back at the David Ross signing as one of the best $5 million investments the franchise has ever made.
