Cubbies Crib to cover 2015 Iowa Cubs games all season long

Onward to bigger and better things.

After working to become a leader in Chicago Cubs’ news in recent years, Cubbies Crib will be taking its coverage to a new level during the 2015 season, providing in-person coverage of the Iowa Cubs’ entire home schedule.

While most Cubs blogs are centered in the Chicagoland area, my moving to the Iowa capitol of Des Moines earlier this year has culminated in a rare opportunity for us, as a staff, to provide coverage that is lacking around the blogosphere. Many sites provide Minor League updates, but few, if any have in-person game coverage.

In addition to the game recaps, we’re working toward potential clubhouse access in the coming months – and, on many nights, we will have full photo albums and video from the home of the I-Cubs, Principal Park – bringing all the action of the Cubs’ top affiliate to your home.

Iowa will likely see talents such as Kris Bryant, Addison Russell, C.J. Edwards this season – with the Cubs’ farm system ranked as one of – if not the best- in all of Major League Baseball. The club has its sights set on a Pacific Coast League title in 2015 – and when they raise the celebrate later this summer, we’ll have coverage from those contests.

Be sure to follow Cubbies Crib and myself on Twitter for more updates. The Iowa Cubs open their home season on April 17.
