Morning Marquee: Kris Bryant homers, Edwin Jackson shelled
Right-hander Edwin Jackson struggled on Tuesday, getting shelled in his appearance against the Oakland Athletics, allowing eight earned runs in 1 2/3 innings of work after appearing at the ballpark late after getting lost on his way to the game – as the Chicago Cubs fell to the A’s, 14-2.

Overshadowing the horrible outing by Jackson was yet another home run by top prospect Kris Bryant – who now leads Major League Baseball with nine home runs. Javier Baez, meanwhile, has reportedly been told that he will make the Cubs’ 25-man roster out of camp – despite his struggles so far this spring.
In other baseball news, the Minnesota Twins locked up infielder Brian Dozier on a team-friendly contract extension and the Los Angeles Dodgers continued to add to their ranks, signing Cuban standout Hector Olivera to a six-year, $62.5 million deal on Tuesday – although nothing remains official.
