With all the big moves that this team has made during the off-season, faithful fans of this organization are gearing up for what is expected to be a break-out year. Those who already live in the area have easy access to the surrounding area and the facilities during spring training – but thanks to those behind the scenes, you could too.
Those who live outside the great state of Arizona have the opportunity to purchase different travel packages from the team’s official website.
Each package this year, just like last year, will offer hotel accommodations with additional nights being optional, 4-door car rentals with unlimited mileage, game tickets, a ton of merchandise, and of course an exclusive post-game dinner with select players and personnel. Although the final selection isn’t available in the early specials.
The early ‘Spring Training Special’ mentioned above begins on Friday, Mar. 6 and ends on Sunday, Mar. 8. Games included with this package are the following: CIN @ CHC on 03/06/15 in Mesa, CHC @ COL on 03/07/15 in Scottsdale, or TEX (SS) @ CHC on 03/08/15 also in Mesa.
Following the previously listed specials, multiple ‘Grand Slam’ departures will run between Thursday Mar. 12 through Sunday, Mar. 29. You’re only allowed to pick dates that run between Mar. 12 – Mar. 15, Mar. 19 – Mar. 22, or Mar. 26 – Mar. 29 as they are not included in one deal.
The first set of dates available between Mar. 12 and Mar. 15 give fans the choice between games against the Angels, Brewers, or the Reds. Dates from Mar. 19 through Mar. 22 will feature the Cross-Town rivalry as the Cubs host the White Sox as well as Arizona’s own Diamondbacks with an away game against the Padres being the final option.
In the final ‘Grand Slam’ package (Mar. 26-Mar. 29), fans will have be able to select between two home games against the Angels and Rockies (SS) or an away game in Surprise against the AL winning Royals.
As far as the elderly go, the Chicago Cubs are offering a Seniors package with a lot of amazing deals included. Not only do they get to choose between four games, but they’ll also receive a deluxe breakfast each morning of their stay on top of a special welcome dinner and escort services between all scheduled activities and destinations.
