Foo Fighters invading Wrigley Field on Aug. 29, 2015
Legendary rock and roll band ‘Foo Fighters’ will be coming to ‘The Friendly Confines’ on Saturday, August. 29, 2015 according to the bands official Facebook page.
They will release their new album titled ‘Sonic Highways’ on November 10, and are currently on tour which will be followed up by a short break after January 28, 2015. Dave Grohl and company recently kicked off their 2014 tour three days ago at ‘The Cubby Bear‘ in Wrigleyville.
They will join a handful of artists that have graced Wrigley Field with their music – musicians such as Jimmy Buffett (Sept. 4-5, 2005), The Police (Jul. 5-6, 2007), Elton John and Billy Joel (Jul. 16-21, 2009), Rascal Flatts (Jul. 18, 2009), Dave Matthews Band (Sept. 17-18, 2010), Sir Paul McCartney (July 21 – Aug. 1, 2011), Pearl Jam (Jul. 19, 2009), and Zac Brown Band (Sept. 13, 2014) being the most recent band.
The Chicago Cubs will be on the road beginning Tuesday, Aug. 25 through Sunday, Aug. 30 for a six game set on the West Coast against the San Francisco Giants, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Tickets for this concert will go on sale a week from today, Oct. 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. CT. and will be available to pre-order on the Cubs’ official website this Friday.
Foo Fighters’ band members Dave Grohl, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, and Taylor Hawkins received their very own custom Cubs’ jerseys during their recent stop in Chicago and took a group picture on the field itself with construction going on behind them.
