The trip North of the border was not so kind to the Chicago Cubs. Now back in the states, the Cubs hope to get things back on track against another team vying for a playoff spot in the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Cubs (64-82) haven’t had great success against the Pirates (77-69) this season. The Cubs are 4-12 against the Bucs this season, 2-5 at PNC Park. Tsuyoshi Wada (4-2, 2.95) takes the mound for the Cubs. Wada left his last start early due to cramping in his leg, a game against the Bucs at Wrigley.

Gerrit Cole (8-5, 3.89) will start for the Pirates, coming off a win against the Cubs in his last outing. Cole went six innings, allowing three runs while striking out eight in a 10-4 victory.

The Pirates lead for the last Wild Card spot is 1 1/2 games, while they trail the Cardinals for the division lead by 2 1/2.

The 6:05 pm ET first pitch at PNC Park will be on CSN television, and on WGN 720 AM on radio.

Here are the starting lineups for tonight’s game:
