According to Carrie Muskat of MLB.com, the Chicago Cubs have promoted their fifth-overall ranked prospect, outfielder Jorge Soler.
Soler, who is ranked as the tenth-best outfield prospect in the game by MLB.com, was batting .282 with eight homers and 29 RBIs this season with Triple-A Iowa. The 22-year-old outfielder has a career Minor League batting line of .306/.383/.546 since joining the organization back in 2012.

Between Rookie ball, Double-A and Triple-A this season, the young outfielder has been red-hot, batting .338/.432/.687 in 61 games with 14 home runs and 54 RBIs to go along with 23 doubles and two triples.
No corresponding roster move has yet been announced by the organization.
