Jake Odorizzi struck out nine in six scoreless innings and combined with two relievers on a five-hitter to lead the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday.

Around the league: the Baltimore Orioles continued to dominate the Cardinals with the long ball, the Yankees placed Brian McCann on the 7-day concussion list, Derek Jeter passed Honus Wagner for sixth on the all-time hit list, and Albert Pujols hit a home run in the 19th to lift the Angels over the Red Sox.
