While it is not certain if Kris Bryant will receive a promotion to the Chicago Cubs this season, he he continues to collect minor league honors.
Bryant, the Cubs’ first pick in the 2013 MLB draft, was selected to Baseball America’s midseason All-Star team. The 22-year-old is batting a combined .352 with 28 home runs and 76 RBIs in 84 games at Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa this season.
In 16 games at Iowa, he has hit .339/.409/.729 with six home runs, five doubles and two stolen bases. He also has 18 strikeouts and and seven walks.
In 68 games with Double-A Tennessee, the third baseman has a triple-slash of .355/.458/.702 to go along with 22 home runs and 58 RBIs. He also racked up 20 doubles in the first portion of his first full professional season.
